Digital Courses and Course Access
About Our Digital Courses
We sell self-paced digital courses containing materials that may include prerecorded videos, written transcripts, PDF worksheets, downloadable resources, spreadsheet templates and instructional tutorials.
No physical product will be supplied unless this is expressly stated in the product description.
The content included in each course is described on the relevant course sales page. Please read this information carefully before purchasing.
Course Access
After successful payment, you will receive instructions for accessing the course using the email address provided with your order.
Course access is for the purchasing customer only. You must not share your account details or allow another person to access the course through your account.
You are responsible for providing an accurate email address and maintaining access to that email account. Please contact us at hello@mrshawkinshouse.com if you experience difficulty accessing a course.
Technical Requirements
You are responsible for having a suitable device, internet connection, web browser and any compatible software required to access the course and use its resources.
Any specific software requirements, including requirements for using spreadsheet templates, will be explained on the relevant course page or within the course.
We are not responsible for temporary interruptions caused by internet providers, third-party platforms or circumstances outside our reasonable control. We will take reasonable steps to restore access where an interruption is within our control.
Lifetime Access
Where a course is sold with “lifetime access”, this means access for the commercial lifetime of that course, rather than the lifetime of the individual customer.
If we decide to permanently discontinue a course sold with lifetime access, we will provide enrolled customers with at least 90 days’ notice using the email address associated with their account. Where reasonably practicable, customers will be given an opportunity during that period to download or otherwise retain the core course videos, transcripts and downloadable resources for their personal use.
Customers are responsible for keeping their contact details up to date and downloading the materials within the stated notice period.
Course Updates
Where lifetime course updates are included, updates made to that course during its commercial lifetime will be provided without an additional course fee.
We may update, replace or reorganise course material to maintain accuracy, improve delivery or reflect changes in the subject. We will not materially reduce the core content or benefits originally purchased without reasonable justification.
Lifetime updates do not include separate future courses, additional products, live services, coaching, memberships or resources that are not identified as part of the original purchase.
Cancellation and Immediate Access
Consumers purchasing online will normally have a 14-day cancellation period, subject to the rules applying to digital content.
If you ask us to provide immediate access to digital content during the cancellation period, you will be required to give your express consent to immediate supply and acknowledge that you will lose your right to cancel once access to the digital content begins, to the extent permitted by law.
Losing the right to cancel because immediate access has begun does not affect your statutory rights if the digital content is faulty, not as described or not supplied.
Please read our Refund and Returns Policy for further information.
Faulty or Unavailable Digital Content
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, paid digital content must be of satisfactory quality, fit for its intended purpose and as described.
If digital course content is faulty, unavailable or materially different from its description, please contact us at hello@mrshawkinshouse.com. Where required by law, we will provide an appropriate remedy, which may include repair, replacement, restored access, a price reduction or a refund.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes your statutory consumer rights.
Educational Information and Results
Our courses are provided for general educational and informational purposes. They do not constitute personalised financial, debt, investment, tax, legal or other regulated professional advice.
The courses are intended to help you understand and organise your own information so that you can make informed decisions. You remain responsible for your financial decisions and for obtaining professional advice where appropriate.
We do not guarantee that completing a course will produce a particular financial result, saving or level of income. Results will depend on individual circumstances and the actions taken by each learner.
If you are experiencing serious financial difficulty, cannot meet essential living costs or require debt advice, you should seek assistance from an appropriately qualified professional or recognised support organisation.
Personal Use and Intellectual Property
All course videos, transcripts, worksheets, spreadsheets, downloads and other materials remain our intellectual property or that of the identified rights holder.
Your purchase gives you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to access and use the materials for your own personal, non-commercial purposes.
You must not copy, reproduce, publish, distribute, sell, license, share, upload, teach from or create derivative commercial products from the course materials without our prior written permission.
You may download and print the resources provided for downloading for your own personal use.
Suspension of Access
We may suspend or terminate access where we reasonably believe that a customer has shared login details, redistributed course materials, attempted unauthorised access, used the course unlawfully or committed a serious breach of these terms.
Where appropriate, we will contact the customer and provide a reasonable opportunity to resolve the issue before access is terminated.
This provision does not affect the customer’s statutory rights.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms to reflect changes in the law, our business or the way our courses are delivered.
The terms applying to a purchase will normally be those accepted when the order was placed. We will not retrospectively remove material rights or benefits included in a completed purchase unless a change is required by law.
