Baked cauliflower cheese
Cauliflower cheese is a roast dinner must in our house. It is such a simple dish to make and really adds something special to a Sunday roast. We love roast lamb and roast chicken with our Sunday lunch and find that a nice cauliflower cheese goes really well with both meats. This recipe is very saucy. If you prefer yours to be more vegetable heavy just up the quantity of vegetables to sauce in this recipe.
Ingredients For Baked Cauliflower Cheese
450g fresh cauliflower
Top with more cheese before baking
Bake in a hot oven 210C fan till the cauliflower cheese is nice and soft. This normally takes 40 to 50 minutes. If the cheese is getting too toasty on top, cover with tin foil for the last 10 minutes or so.
Chop cauliflower into bite sized pieces and place in an oven safe dish.
Then make a white sauce, add cheese to it ( 100 to 150 grams), stir the cheese in well and top with more cheese. Bake as instructed above and serve with your Sunday roast. Enjoy!
